Effectively implementing a cultural change in your organisation
Is resistance to new processes and tools hindering your organisation's success?
Organisations have found that in order to really maximise the implementation of a new system or to make a transformational improvement, people's behaviours need to change. Creating this cultural shift in behaviours is hard and takes a long time to really embed. Thus, more programmes of business change are being set up to tackle this challenge, but often without taking a holistic view of what else is going on in the organisation.
Creating standalone cultural change programmes can be the answer, but they require a step change and lots of time from senior management to ensure new behaviours are role-modelled. This can often be acquainted to "turkeys voting for Christmas!" and so sometimes the right approach can be to "start small fires" in the right places, fan the flames and watch it spread. Other times the "burning platform" is so strong that people will realise "the time is now or never!".
This masterclass will open up the discussion on approaches, and evaluate the gap between the current behaviours and those you want. It will share some war stories, some theory and some practical steps on defining behaviours, planning and how to approach these types of programmes.
